CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: GPOW BOOK EVENT
The Geographic Perspectives on Women Specialty Group (GPOW) of the AAG is again honoring recently published titles in feminist geography at the 2012 AAG meeting in New York City. Our aim is to celebrate and promote books being written within feminist geography and by feminist geographers at a wine and cheese reception during the annual meeting, February 24-28, 2012 (date and venue to be announced).
If you would like to nominate a recent feminist geography book published between January 2011 and February 2012, please send the details of your nomination to me personally (not to the list–lise@uoregon.edu) by January 16, 2012. Please limit your nominations to those publications that were not honored at last year’s event.
Book authors will be asked to coordinate with their publishers to provide a copy of the book for display and any other relevant promotional materials, as well as to request that publishers assist with funding.
